Today’s Special is our Gray Dogwood, Cornus racemosa. These are growing in quart containers for $5.54 each. A hardy upright, suckering shrub. Flowers are white in clusters in May. Leaves are green turning purple in fall. Fruits are showy, white on bright red pedicels in late summer. The gray stems add interest to the winter landscape. Full sun to shade in any soil. Prefers moist, well drained sites. A useful plant for naturalizing or background. Grows 8 to 12 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide. Zones 3 to 8.
