BUXUS microphylla jap. 'Morris Dwarf' 04-09-13Today’s Special is our Morris Dwarf Boxwood. These are growing in 2.5 inch containers and are 3 to 4 inches tall for $4.42 each!

Best grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers a sun dappled part shade and moist, sandy loams. Tolerant of pruning and shearing. In USDA Zones 5 and 6, this boxwood is best sited in a sheltered location which will protect it from winter winds. Avoid cultivating around plants because they have shallow roots. Roots appreciate a good mulch. This boxwood cultivar is a low-growing, dense, compact, mounded evergreen shrub. Slow annual growth (to 1 1/4″ in height per year). Typically grown as a 10-12″ tall shrub with a somewhat larger spread. If not pruned, it may eventually reach 2-2.5′ tall after 25 years. Rarely flowers. Small, obovate, medium green leaves (to 1/2″ long). Zones 5 to 9.
