A very compact mid sized Weigela which has shown itself to have better cold hardiness than most Weigela forms. Blooms have the classic trumpet shape of all Weigela cultivars, with the primary color being a light pastel pink. The throat of each bloom is a creamy yellow color, and slightly fragrant. Foliage is very dense, dark green and has a slightly different shape than most Weigela varieties. Foliage is slightly shorter & more rounded – not quite as elongated – also has a slight wavy look to it. If cared for properly, and adequate nutrition is supplied, the foliage actually has an extremely beautiful and unusual greenish blue hue at times. Grows to 4 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide. Zones 4 to 9.
