Only winter hardy to USDA Zone 7 (roots will usually be killed when temperatures dip below 10 F), so this plant will need considerable protection in certain areas. This super dwarf mondo grass is an ornamental grass which is closely related to Liriope. Forms a dense carpet only 1-2″ high. Tiny, pale lavender flowers on short stalks in summer are often hidden by the leaves. Zones 7 to 10.
