The Foster Holly is a pyramidal broadleaf evergreen tree-holly with dark green foliage and an abundance of showy red berries in winter; attracts cedar waxwings and other birds. This variety grows to 20 feet tall and 10 feet wide with an open habit.
Ornamental Attributes: Foster No. 2 Holly has attractive dark green foliage. The spiny pointy leaves are ornamentally significant but do not develop any appreciable fall color. The flowers are not ornamentally significant. It features an abundance of magnificent red berries from mid fall right through to late winter. The bark is not particularly outstanding. Zones 6a to 9.
